Check out our new publication on student reasoning about measurement uncertainty!

Exciting News! I’m thrilled to share our new study out of work done at CU Boulder published in PRPER: “Investigating changes in student views of measurement uncertainty in an introductory physics lab course using clustering algorithms.” This research sheds light on the crucial aspect of understanding measurement uncertainty in experimental physics. The study uses hierarchical clustering algorithms to analyze trends in student reasoning. The findings underscore the potential for targeted interventions to enhance students’ grasp of measurement uncertainty in experimental physics.
