We have a perspectives paper in the Journal of Biomedical Engineering Education which presents insights fromĀ The Fifth Biomedical Engineering Education Summit, which brought together educators from across the U.S. to address challenges and opportunities in integrating GenAI into BME curricula. We address questions such as, “How can We Effectively Integrate New AI-era Competencies into Our Already Crowded BME Curricula?” and “How Do We, as Educators, make Decisions When AI Technology is Advancing so Rapidly?” Through this question-response format, we provide practical recommendations for integrating AI into BME education and fostering continuous dialogue as the field evolves.
